Hello and welcome to Southampton Real Nappies. I aim to provide straight forward advice on the huge range of cloth nappies that are available and help you to decide which are the best options for you and your baby.
My name is Debbie and I am a mum to Bethany, born Oct 2005, Finlay, born Aug 2007, and Zachary, born May 2010, and I live in Southampton.
When I was pregnant with Bethany, I looked in to using cloth nappies. Unfortunately I had no-one to advise me and ended up buying a birth-to-potty set of pre-fold nappies from a local store. I persevered with them seeing as I had spent the money on them, but they weren’t great. I ended up having to buy lots of extra wraps to contain poo explosions and I still got leaks on to clothes.
When I became pregnant with Finlay, I decided to use what I had learnt through reading about cloth nappies since Bethany was born and became an agent for BabyKind.
I now have a wide range of nappies, which offer far superior containment to my previous nappies. I decided that I wanted to give other parents the advice that I could have done with to start with and, as a result, I now offer a service where I can show the nappies that I have and talk through their advantages and disadvantages to anyone in Southampton, Winchester, Romsey, Fareham, the New Forest and other areas in Hampshire by arrangement.
